We are STILL here! Maybe tomorrow. I really hope so. Grant and I need to get out of here for a few days.

David is currently in route to an out of town depo, so his mom has come down to stay with Claire. They seem to be having a good time. Claire is getting her "Minima" to read about 1000 books and has talked her into sleeping in the same bed. She is good!

Grant is just getting ready to fall asleep. We have said our prayers and he has his "baby" music playing. At 3:00 a.m. I will wake him up to ...

Well, there is a slim chance, but we may be able to go home this afternoon. Our Dr. is running Grant's CBC one more time right now to see if his ANC has come up since this morning. If it has, we are out of here. I so badly want to get him home. David leaves tomorrow until Wed and I would love for all of us to be under one roof and enjoy this beautiful weather together. I am praying and keeping my fingers crossed!

I had a wonderful day with Claire yesterday. David stayed with Grant Friday night...

We are still here. Grant has not run fever today - so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it stays that way. He still has an ANC of 0 and still has no ability to fight infection. For those that are interested in the numbers, all his counts are low, but he does have some mono's so, there is small chance that he will have an ANC tomorrow. I will ask the Dr.s to run another CBC tonight to see where we are headed.

Last night, his CBC showed that his platelets did not go up at all following his ea...

Well, Grant spiked a fever of 102.4 yesterday and I took him to the TCH ER. So, he was admitted last night. They have started him on antibiotics and tested him for the flu. The flu test came back negative.

His counts are all very low and he may have spiked the fever due to that. I hope so. He had a number last night that indicated that his numbers should be coming up starting today.

David stayed with Grant last night so I could get some much needed sleep and spend some time with my angel Clair...

Well, things are still heading in the right direction. Grant is getting his last round of this round of chemo right now and so far so good. Assuming he does not spike a fever or have any weird side effect, we will be tearing out of here at 6:30 p.m. tonight! We can not wait! We love seeing all the familiar faces up here, but when we can go home and be "normal" we can not wait to go.

We should be able to be home for 16 days before the big bad ARAC round of chemo begins. I pray that we get to st...

So far so good. Grant's spinal came back perfect! YEAH!!! We did not lose any ground not getting the spinal chemo for two months. I can not tell you how much better I feel.

Grant has now received two of five days of chemo this week. His numbers are starting to head down as expected and should stay down for at least two weeks. He has been in GREAT spririts though. Yesterday he was blarring his music CD that he made and was dancing in his bed. He made play dough balls and decided to throw them a...

I will update this more in the morning, but I wanted to let everyone know that Grant was finally admitted today. Though he barely made the cut, his counts were high enough to get started.

The tests that he had from the bone marrow all came back great. No cancer. The spinal was done today and showed two white cells. We will not know for a few more days if there were any leukemia blasts in the spinal fluid. I pray that there are not and that we can just pick up and continue moving forward.
