We made it through this metho!!! YEAH!!! Grant cleared his methotrexate last week very quickly thanks to the staff at TCH who constantly checked his levels and adjusted them accordingly. He did have issues with this electrolytes, so they keep him up there until late Friday evening. He has been suffering from mouth sores that run from his lips all the way to his bottom, but those actually seem better today for the first time. At least they are not bleeding anymore. Well, the Methotrexate is over! And Grant is still doing well. I would not say everything ran perfectly smoothly, but we have survived it so far. They never wanted his level to go above 60 and within an hour, he was already at 80. So, they reduced the dose. At the next check he was at 72, so they reduced the dose. Finally, he ended up at 52 and finished up at 42. So now we wait until 3:00 a.m. and they will start the rescue drug to flush it out of his system. We are hoping it clears his syste...
