We are going home!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

We just met our Clinic Doc - Dr. Dreyer and she is making me feel so much better about things. We have an appointment on Monday and will go through everything. Basically, we will be putting Grant on a drug called Glevac that has some really good results with Phillidelphia Chromosome Positive ALL. On Day 15 they will do another spinal tap. The results from this will tell us more on how he is doing. If that goes well, we will hopefully in okay. He may need a bone marrow transplant, but we will cross that road when we get there.

Grant is in great spirits still. They gave him some platelets just now and we are hoping to leave here soon. If all goes well, we will just continue his treatments from home and come into the clinic for blood, tests, and Chemo.

Wish us luck and say some prayers.

Oh - and what is on our side? Grant is young, he is in good health (other than this), he is strong, and his white cells were good when we came in.

He is currently at HIGH risk for infection, so we will not be having any visitors, but would love to hear from you!

Thanks again.
Melanie
