Pray for Grant

Growth Hormone Begins

Posted by Melanie McTaggart on Tuesday, May 5, 2015
It is the month of May. The month that we hate so much. This is the month that Grant was first diagnosed 6 years ago and the month we thought he had relapsed. This is also the month that we lost two of our cancer friends.

Yesterday we started another first in this month of May - human growth hormone. Grant will receive daily evening shots of HGH in his thigh or stomach. He will receive these shots every single day until he is around 16 or 17 years old, or until his dr. says his growth plates are closed and he is no longer growing.

Grant has to receive HGH now because his pituitary grand is no longer functioning correctly and he is not growing. This is just another side effect of the chemo he took to save his life.

Please join me in a pray for his strength and courage as he is forced to take these shots. And as always, thanks to all of you for keeping Grant in your prayers.
