Pray for Grant

David here again.

Grant went in for counts today and everything looked good.  ANC 830; Platelets 153; Hemoglobin 10.9

Today is a huge today for the big guy. He graduates from the Strawbridge Pre-K program.

Words can't describe how Melanie and I feel about the love and generosity the people at Strawbridge have shown our family.  When Grant was diagnosed in May 2009,  his teachers from Strawbridge were among the first to visit the hosptial.  Since Grant was diagnosed, Strawbridge has refused to accept our tuition checks for Claire(last year) or Grant.  The teachers have continued to send Grant art projects from his classmates when he has been unable to be there for school.  Grant's walking difficulties require him to get a little  more attention than the average student and there is always a risk he may fall and hurt himself.  Never once has anyone from Strawbridge voiced any complaint about that,  even though it must have made his teachers nervous sometimes.   They have made Grant feel  as much a part of the clase as any other child.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, when his counts are good, Grant lights up when we tell him he gets to go to Strawbridge.   Grant will miss his teachers and friends very much.  Our family will always have a very special place in our hearts for Strawbridge.
