What a week it has been! On Tuesday night last week, Grant started to throw up and then had it going the other way. I took him to his usual checkup on Wednesday, and Grant was very tired. He would not eat, drink, or talk to anyone. Dr. Dreyer was really worried and decided to admit him. While we were waiting for his room, they hooked him up to IV fluids. Grant perked up. So, after we had signed all the paperwork to be admitted, Dr. Dreyer decided that she thought we would be okay to head on home. So at 6:30 that night, we did! We were thrilled. On Thursday, Grant seemed a bit better, but still did not want to eat.

Then, Friday night, David and I went on a date and our sitter said Claire complained that her tummy hurt. Well, it must have because Saturday morning, she threw-up and started the other. Grant stayed the same - sometimes he was full of energy, and others too tired to move. He would drink some and eat some - but not much. Claire did not eat at all over the weekend.

This morning the kids both said their tummies hurt. Grant seemed VERY hungry and even asked for a PB&J for breakfast. I thought this was a good sign. I guess not though since he ended up throwing up twice and then Claire started again too. I weighed Grant and he had dropped 4 pounds in a week. Freaked out, I called the Dr and they told me to bring him in. I loaded up the kids, throw up pot included, and headed to TCH. Since Claire threw up twice on the way there, I decided to have her seen too. Well, Grant perked up again and has not complained any more. Claire has gotten sick several more times, but they did let us come home.  I sure hope they get better soon! I hate seeing them both like this.

Grant is supposed to start chemo on Monday. I pray he puts some weight back on before then! Prayers for healthier kids this week please!!!
