Pray for Grant

We had a lovely weekend at home, just the four of us! On Friday, I picked Claire up early from school and we had a "girls only" afternoon. I had Jordan come over to baby-sit Grant. We had a great time! I took her to get her nails done, to pick out a new dress and then to have her hair done. On Saturday, David and I took the kids to the zoo and enjoyed the lovely weather. And then that afternoon, we all took a nice long nap! On Saturday night, we braved the chilled weather and sat outside at a restaurant on the river, ordered a bottle of wine and watch Claire and Grant play with some toys we brought with us. Then, we rented an old movie, popped some popcorn and we all stayed up late watching it. On Sunday we enjoyed watching the Saints win the Super Bowl.

This morning Grant checked back in for a weeklong chemo. He had a spinal already and has just finished his first round of chemo. So far so good. His walking is continuing to improve and he is having a blast up here passing out candy and valentines to all the nurses. He is in such a good mood!

I'll keep you all updated on his progress this week! Thanks for the prayers!
