Pray for Grant

Grant's daddy here.   Grant was at clinic all day today. Claire was with him because she was out of school for Presidents Day.  Claire was a very big girl today and didnt make Melanie's day even tougher.

We found out that Grant is C Diff + yet again, which explains his recent tummy issues.  They did an abdominal x-ray which was normal.    He will need to take Vancomycin for the C Diff.  Also, his ANC dropped to 340 which is severely neutropenic.  His platelets and Hemoglobin came up a little bit which is good.

They went ahead and did his bone marrow aspiration and spinal tap.  We should get the first of four test results tonight or tomorrow, which will begin to tell us whether Grant is still in remission.  No matter how many times we do this part, it doesnt get any easier.  There will be some sleepless nights waiting on the results.

Daniel, a very nice young man from Berlin Germany, has been filming our family for part of a documentary he is doing.  He came to the house on Saturday and he filmed us at clinic all day today.  Daniel hopes that his film will be shown at International film festivals.  We are rooting for him.

We will update once we get test results
