I wanted to once again thank everyone who donated blood yesterday! The turn out was just amazing. David and I are overwhelmed with everyone's generosity.

Grant is still in great spirits. His counts are starting to go down as expected. I think by tomorrow morning he will be at risk for infection again and will remain that way for the next fourteen days. Just in time for us to check back in here for the next round!

Last night Grant watched Return of the Jedi for the 1st time. This morning, as it tuned out, Darth Vader (sp?) came to visit and so did the entire Jedi fleet! I wish you all could have seen his face. It was priceless! He now is the proud owner of a light saber (sp?) that I made for him out of construction paper and medical tape! He loves it and is currently watching the movie again and fighting Darth Vader! Too cute!

Tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. he will get is last dose of "hospital chemo." It will be followed by 8 doses of some medicine that makes him pee out the chemo. Those 8 doses will be given every three hours. So, at the earliest, we will be able to go home at around 6:00 p.m. on Monday. He is supposed to get a shot that makes his white count number go up 24 hours after the last chemo is completed. If it actually happens like that, then we will not get to leave until 10:00 p.m. Monday night. If that happens, we may just be here until Tuesday morning. I hope to know better tomorrow.

Thanks again for everything!!!
