Pray for Grant

Well, we survived last week - and what a week it was! Grant was home all week and got stronger everyday. Though he is still not walking, he is getting there. He is in such GREAT spirits right now. His personality is really coming through. We just got back from clinic and his ability to fight infection is still VERY low, but all the other numbers looked good. We received the results back from his spinal and bone marrow biopsy and he is still in remission and looking good!!! Oh  - and Grant is GAINING weight, I mean REAL weight, and at a steady clip. His appetite is out of control and we just love it.

Claire had a nice weekend. Claire spent Thursday with her friend Grace Kelly. (THANKS AMY!!! - I owe you one!!!) Her grandparents came in on Friday and not only played with her and read her one zillion books, but they took her to see the Squeaquel (sp?) for the THIRD time! God love them!! They deserve some sort of award for that!

David made it through his surgery on Friday very well. He was very nervous before going in, but is very thankful that it is over and done with. He was up walking within an hour of waking up in post-op and even went to the office for a few hours today. He is asleep now, but is handling the whole thing so well. He will not be able to drive for two weeks and can not lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk for 4 weeks and then nothing over 20 lbs for two months. He is having a tough time fighting the urge to pick up the kids, but I keep reminding him that he does not want to redo this surgery!!

So, other than gymnastics on Tuesday, ballet on Wednesday and counts on Friday, we do not have much going on this week - for once!!! I hope his counts are okay on Friday so we can leave the house this weekend!

Thanks again for the continued prayers.
