If you have not seen the new Cancer Center Video, you have to check it out. It is very powerful! (Get a box of tissue first!)

Grant has been doing really well over the past month. We are into the second week, of the second part, of the 1st cycle of Maintenance. So far so good. He has been able to handle the drugs at full dose and his counts have been right where they should be. We feel so blessed  - and a little nervous. We are wondering if it is really supposed to be this easy.

Grant has been able to go to school and loves it. We had a great Thanksgiving, enjoyed some time at home, and took the kids to see the new movie Tangled. The past week though, I have kept Grant at home. He has had a bad cold and we are hoping and praying to take him and the family to New York this next weekend. (David has been saving his Amex and frequent flyer points up for almost two years!!!) With his immune system already being down, we don't want him getting any worse. If we have any chance of going to New York, he has to be well and his counts have to be good. We are saying our prayers and keeping our fingers crossed!!! This will be the first real vacation since he was diagnosed. I am planning on bringing a sheet to cover the seats on the plane and wiping down our area of the plane with Cavi-wipes. We will also make him wear a mask on the flight - IF WE GET TO GO!! :)

Tomorrow is the Mother's Against Cancer Luncheon. All the proceeds from this luncheon will go directly to the Texas Children's Cancer Center (TCCC) for research. Last year Grant was their honoree and I have been involved with this amazing group ever since. Check out their site www.mothersagainstcancer.org and see how much they have helped TCCC. I feel very blessed to be apart of such a great group of women who give back so much to the cancer center that has helped us out so much.

I will post more after the luncheon and let you know how much we have raised for TCCC this year! So exciting!!!!!
