Pray for Grant

Grant is doing better today with his taking of the oral medicine. We had him playing "medicine baseball." Everytime he takes his medicine, it is a hit and he gets to run to the next base on a game board we made. Then when he finishes them all, he gets a sticker on the "scoreboard." We also told him that Graig Biggio, who is Grant's fav, was good at taking his own medicine and it made him a better player. He bought it.

He has one medicine that is a powder that has to be mixed in something to take. Grant still does not want to eat or drink much so this has been a challange. We have come up with one thing that seems to be working. Every time he takes a sip of his drink mixed with this powder, we have a burping contest. He thinks it is hysterical. So, we are getting the medicine down him, but about 2 ounces is taking almost 2 hours! But, at least he is getting it all.

Today we find out how the DNA of these cancer cells are pairing up. Sometimes, the way they are paired make is journey to recovery a little easier. And somtimes a little harder. What they tell us today will let us know what we can expect as far as his life long success with this. Please pray that we get a good report.

We found out yesterday that he has had a virus in the past that could flare up again during all the chemo that can affect this brain and other organs. Please pray that the virus does not do this and just remains as it is now - dormant!
