Pray for Grant

We had a wonderful week and a 1/2 at home! And our trip to Lost Pines was terrific. Claire and Grant had so much fun swimming and staying up late watching movies. Grant even got to take a brief ride on "T-bone" the Long Horn! We took the time we had to do things that we typically cannot do anymore - like go out to eat, shop, and go to an Astros game. The time we got to spend together as a family was perfect.

Grant went to clinic yesterday, received his chemo and came home and had a good night sleep. The morning we got up early and headed back to TX Children’s Cancer Center for the 2nd dose. We are checking into the hospital tonight for the next round of "hospital chemo." The staff said there would not be a room ready until 10ish tonight, so instead of making us wait all day, they sent us home and will call when the room is ready. YEAH! Once we check in, they will hook Grant up to receive IV hydration until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, and then he will get a new chemo. He is to get this one 4 times followed by more hydration and a PEG shot (another type of chemo). They will watch him for a while to make sure he does not have an allergic reaction and if all goes well and as planned, we will come home Friday morning. Hopefully, we will get to stay home for two weeks before starting up the next round.

I am going to go take a quick nap and then get dinner ready and prepare for the call. I'll update this sometime tomorrow after we get settled in.
