Grant's Dad is writing this post.  Grant and Claire are very excited about Santa coming in a few days.  Grant has asked Santa for a space ship, two footballs, a "big" baseball and some more Star Wars guys. Claire has asked for a fake kitty that she can practice with before she gets a real kitty and a lot of Barbie stuff.

Grant's counts were good so we were able to drive up to Waco for the weekend. We had a great time and were able to go to the Waco zoo which the kids love.

Tonight is a blood drive in Grant's honor at Tin Roof Bar B Q in Atascosita.  We have been going to Tin Roof for years with the kids.  The food is great and Ron and Nancy are such nice people.  If you have time, please try to make it out there tonight.

Grant is scheduled to start his next chemotherapy round on Monday December 28.  The first 2 days will be in the clinic and the last 3 days will be in the hospital. We hope to be discharged on New Years Day.  Grant and I will ring in the new year with the nurses at the hospital while Claire and Melanie spend the evening with the Hardwicks.

Lastly, we decided to send Godiva, the new puppy, to dog school in Waco for about 8 weeks.  They guarantee that she will return to us a well trained dog.  That would mean we would have a well trained 3 month old Lab and a porrly trained 9 year old Lab.  But as Thelma Lou likes to say, "Bad Dogs Have More Fun!"
