Pray for Grant

Today was another rough day. Just when I think Grant is going to take his medicine better - or easier - we take a turn for the worse. This morning we had to re-do the meds 4 - yes FOUR - times. He gagged and threw up 3 times in a row. I lost it and was very frustrated and ended up crying. I had been able to hold myself together pretty well until last night and then this morning I was a mess. I felt so bad for getting so upset.

Grant finally took his 4 meds this morning and keep them down, but for the first time in a week, did not want to eat. All he wanted to do is sleep today. When he was awake, he was so sad and just laid on the couch.

My sister brought her new baby, Luke, over for a visit this afternoon. That brightened my spirits. He is so cute and so sweet and NEVER cries. My mom and grandmother came by too and that helped get my mind off things.

After they left, Grant and I laid on the couch together and fell asleep. Actually, he fell asleep on me first. I do not think we had done that since he was a baby. It was soooo nice to hold him that way. It kind of felt like God gave me a second chance with him. I was soooo busy with Claire when he was a baby that he and I did not have a lot of moments like that. I loved it and hope to have some more moments like that again tomorrow.

In the morning we head to Texas Childrens. We have to be there are 8:00. I think he is getting one more round of Chemo and will have some blood tests done. I can't wait to see where the numbers are now. Hopefully we will get the "all clear" to go swimming and to soak in the bath tub!
