I cannot believe it is November. The time seems to by flying by, THANK GOD! Grant will begin his “two-years left till the end of treatment” count down this month. Two years. Wow. He will have "hospital chemo" until abound this time next year and then move on to the "easier clinic" chemo after that. Two years left.

Grant sure is enjoying his time at home thanks to his adjusted round of chemo. We all are. In fact, we just had the best weekend in a very long time. We actually got to a place where we did not have that pit in our stomachs constantly. On Saturday afternoon, I got to spend the day with my sister at the spa. Soooo nice! Then that night, David, the kids, and I checked into the Houstonian. David and I got all dressed up in black tie gear and I got to watch David as he was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates in which he received a cool honor for having tried a certain number of cases. We had a lovely dinner and even danced to our wedding song. The next morning, we took the kids for a walk on the premises and they actually got to go swimming! The pools were heated to a very comfortable temperature and Grant and Claire laughed and screamed as they splashed around. They even got to go down a water slide. Well, we all enjoyed that!!  I wish you could have seen Grant's face as he and his Daddy came rushing into the water. Claire must of come down the slide a zillion times.

On Sunday, we just got the house in order for the week and had a great family dinner together.

Yesterday Claire went to school and Grant and I went to Home Depot to pick up the materials I needed to make him a few balance beams. His physical therapist suggested that he practice walking on this because it forces him to walk straight and to step up and down, which is what he is struggling with. So, he is now the proud owner, as is our living room, of three carpet-covered beams.

Today I will have to take Claire to school. Grant has a long day of therapy ahead of him. He will have an hour of speech, and hour of OT and then and hour of PT this morning. Then I will race to pick Claire up, feed the kids and get her to gymnastics. Tomorrow we have to go to TCH for counts and to receive another dose of IVIG. He will probably need a blood transfusion as well. Which reminds me. I need to get Claire a sitter. When we get home I will take Claire to ballet.

On Thursday we have to repeat Tuesday's agenda, but there is no classes for Claire following. We will probably head outside to play with the neighbors and have our usual "happy hour" at the benches located in the median on our street. David will be out of town in Austin for the night.

On Friday I am planning on getting both the kids a sitter and heading to the Nutcracker Market. Going to this really puts me in the Holiday spirit! I can't wait!!!!

Okay, that is it for now. Claire is up and needs some snuggle time! Thanks again for all of your love and support!

Oh - - I have posted new pictures on the “Pictures” link on the home page if you are interested.
