We are heading home in a few hours! What??? I know!!! Grant is stooling a lot less than he was yesterday and since the medicine he is on is oral, I can take care of him from home. I will just need to make sure he drinks a lot. The course of meds he is on should be completed by Saturday and hopefully by tomorrow morning he will be feeling a ton better. We will go back to clinic on Friday to check counts and possibly a blood and/or platelet transfusion. My guess is he will have an ANC of 0 and end up back here before then, but I guess you just never know with him.
Also - his liver enzymes were normal this morning so they are letting us start the Gleevec again. Praise the Lord!
Well - I am going to rest up with Grant who is currently getting a blood transfusion, pack up and head home. I'll update in a few days on how Grant is doing. Thanks again for all your concern and prayers. What a change of events this has been for him this week!!
