Well - Grant will be 3 years old in exactly 1 month!! I can't beleive how fast time has gone by. I feel so blessed to have him in my life.

Today we went to clinic. He received some IV fluids and Chemo through his port and was put on a new protocol. They gave him a new steroid and antiacid. These are in pill form. He will also start the Gleevac tomorrow - which is also pill form. We will only have one liquid now - which is an antibiotic. Hopefully the pill form will work out better. We just have to crush it and put it in pudding or applesauce. He did not love it this evening so we are hoping the morning will go better.

His CBC (complete blood count) numbers came back good today. It looks as if his bone marrow is producing its own plateles - WHICH IS REALLY GOOD NEWS. His ANC number that tells us how much at risk he is for infection is going up, but still low. With the chemo he received today it is supposed to drop again. His EKG and Echo Cardiogram came back normal. So - all in all  -  good news. We got home around 2:30 and just crashed!

I'll post an update tomorrow and let you know how the new meds are affecting him. I just hate seeing him so down, sick, and tired. We are going to try to get out of the house in the morning and go on a walk or go the the park. Please pray that he won't be too sick from the chemo today. He needs to get out some.
