Pray for Grant

Wednesday, March 17 - ST PATTY'S DAY!

Top of the Morning to Ya!
Life at home has been great this past week. Other than needing blood and a couple of platelet transfusions, Grant has been feeling wonderful! How ironic! His counts went down and are on their way back up and he should be ready to start his first round of hospital maintenance on Monday. He will get a bone marrow aspiration, and spinal tap, chemo in his spine, Vincristine, and a 24-hour bag of Methotrexate starting Monday. Easier - yeah right! :)

Today is St. Patrick’s' Day - a big deal for our family. Every year we go all out! In the past, I have had a St. Patrick's Day party at the house for the kids. We invited several friends over and the kids decorated cupcakes with green icing and went on a hunt for a pot of gold. Then we head to Brian O’Neil’s with the kids to see all the Irish festivities. I am happy to say this year won't be much different. My friend Tiffany is coming over with her two little ones and we will take the kids on a picnic and let them eat greet shamrock cookies. Then is afternoon around 4:30, the kids and I will meet daddy at Brian O’Neil’s like we do every year! It is so much fun!

To close out for now, I will leave you with an Irish Blessing that my husband sent me a few weeks ago. It seems so fitting for our lives right now. I wish you all the best!

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS'S DAY!!!!
IRISH BLESSING - Author Unknown
I wish for you not a path devoid of clouds,
Nor a life on a bed of roses, not that you might never feel regret,
Nor that you should never feel pain.
No that is not what I wish for you.

My Wish For You Is:
That you might be brave at times of trial when others lay crosses upon your shoulders.
When mountains must be climbed and chasms are to be crossed; when hope scarce can shine through.
That every gift God gave you might grow along with you.
And let you give the gift of joy to all who care for you.
That you may always have a friend who is worth that name.
Whom you can trust, and who helps you in the times of sadness.
Who will defy the storms of daily life at your side.

One More Thing I Wish For You.
That in every hour of joy and pain, you may feel God close to you.
This is my hope for you, now and forever.
